Born out of passion in 1992, Cobweb was created by a group of spirited friends in Patan, Nepal. They dared to dream big in an era when rock music was far from mainstream. Their debut album, Anjaan (1993), struck a chord with listeners, introducing a raw and refreshing sound that Nepal hadn’t heard before. This marked the dawn of a band destined to become legends.

In the 1990s, Cobweb faced challenges that would have crushed lesser artists. Rock music was considered rebellious, and societal criticism loomed large. Despite this, the band stayed true to their sound. Their perseverance bore fruit with their self-titled second album, Cobweb (1996), which catapulted them to fame. Tracks like “Maryo Ni Maryo” became instant hits, paving the way for future Nepali rock bands.
