Formed in 1998 in Kathmandu, Albatross began as a group of school friends covering their favorite grunge and rock bands like Alice in Chains and Silverchair. Founding members Max (bass), Avaya Siddhi Bajracharya (drums), and Sunny Manandhar (vocals/guitar) shared a dream of creating music that resonated with the youth of Nepal. What started as a small act in local gigs quickly transformed into the roaring voice of Nepali rock.
Albatross carved their path with their debut album Hi: Fly, a raw and energetic introduction to their sound. Over the years, they refined their artistry with groundbreaking albums like Jo Jas Sanga Sambandhit Chha (2005), Atti Bhayo (2010), and Ma Ra Malai (2014). Each album reflects their growth, tackling themes of love, identity, social issues, and personal struggles.
